Boca Java Tea Review and Giveaway

01 Oct
100_5342I gave up drinking soda and sugary drinks a couple of years ago and have never looked back. I was a self- proclaimed diet cola and sugar junkie but I decided that I didn’t want those things in my diet any longer and gave them up cold turkey. My big concern was caffeine withdrawal and headaches but to my surprise I didn’t have a problem with that at all. I believe that drinking more tea and water helped me escape the pain of giving up those other drinks.
I am not someone who enjoys a cup of hot tea. I like my tea on ice and I am not afraid to try to new flavors or to use tea that is designed for use as a hot beverage. I have tried many flavors and brands of teas over the years but none have come close to the taste of Boca Java Tea’s. I was recently given the opportunity to try 2 of their tasty teas, mandarin Orange Rooibos and Extra Fancy Green Tea.
The Mandarin Orange Rooibos, which is decaf,  has a nice citrus taste that is not overbearing or overly sweet. It contains antioxidants and vitamins too.  I loved the scent as soon as I opened the bag. I am tempted to place one around the house as an air freshener but don’t want to waste my tea! I know the package says to use in boiling water and most people on the planet would agree but I have to be different. I placed my tea bag in a picture of Ice-cold water and let it steep for over an hour. I then pour it in a glass of ice, added a bit of low cal sugar substitute and Voila! I had a glass of amazing Iced tea.

The Extra fancy Green Tea is equally amazing. You can smell the quality as soon as you open the resealable pouch. I am a huge fan of green tea and all of it’s healthy properties so I was very eager to try this one. I prepared it the same way as the first tea with the only exception being I added a small splash of lemon.  I have to say I am hooked.  The flavor is strong without being overbearing and I just feel good drinking it. I cannot get my 3 year old to drink anything healthy for him so I made this tea and then frozen it into Popsicles for him and he gobbled them up.
Boca Java teas are packaged in a resealable bag with 18 tea bags for just $8.99. If you are like me and reuse your tea bags, that makes for a lot of tea for a great price. They have many different flavors to choose from and you are sure to find a favorite or two.
