Qwikword: A New way to be Social Review and Giveaway

19 Sep

As a blogger you know that I not only love but depend on my social networks to get my messages out to you. the readers and fans. We all are aware of the other social media sites where you can connect with friends and family, share your feelings and goings-on of the day, share photos and videos and cute pictures with funny captions. You already know about sites that you can share photos and recipes in the same arena as DIY projects and news about celebrity gossip, But have you ever thought about how social media could change with just one word?

Qwikword, #OneWordRevolution , is a new way to be social using just one word. Most of us speak or type so many words in a day that those words tend to lose most if not all of their meaning or just becomes repetitious. How many of us can really describe or comment on a post, video or picture in just one meaningful word?  That is what Qwikword is all about.  Let me give you a little overview.

My profile page showing my influence status, likes, sparks and more

Qwikword is the only social media network that lets you instantly respond to Sparks, visual stimuli such as a photo or video, in just one word and connect with a global network. You can be the first to share your Qwikword with a world audience. Sparkflow is a continuous flow of sparks to motivate you and your creativity. You can create your own Qwikword, a new Spark,  with just one word, a video, a picture or even a link to another site, or you can like someone else’s!  Once you create your Spark, you can share with other quickworders in your own network or even worldwide. You can find friends by searching for people you already know or invite friends from other social media sites. Discover new connections by searching sparks as well. You will build your network with just one word.

You can use the menu to find out which Sparks have been shared in your network, privately, or globally. You can also browse through Sparks to see which ones are trending and get the most likes.  Imagine how much more meaningful your posts as well as others will be when you have to choose just one word to describe, like or leave commentary on a Spark!  How often do we take our words for granted and spend little to no time on posting them. By taking the time and thought to use just one, descriptive, meaningful word, you elevate your posts and responses to a much higher level.

Some of the user-friendly options on Qwikword;

Search by email for people you know, people you may have similar interests with or even those that are the most influential on the site,  to add to your network.

See the awards page where there are competitions and browse the most popular Qwikworders.

Check for notifications or messages from those in your network and even those that are not.

They offer a tutorial icon to help you easier learn how to use Qwikwords and get your network started.

Create your own profile page and keep track of those in your network, your sparks, likes etc all in one place.

Click on the Sparkflow and add your one word to a series of photos making it your own.

As you add your one word to each spark, you can get likes on your post and build your influence. I went through a series of about 25 sparks and it is a lot more difficult than you think to come up with just one word to describe or comment on a post. I find myself studying the spark more than I would a post on any other social network site and wanting to give  a more meaningful response. It makes me work my brain and I really find this fascinating.

Qwikword is a whole new way to network and leave your print on social media. After so many thoughtless likes, shares and comments on other sites, it is refreshing to think carefully about my responses and make them as meaningful as I want. Unlike other social media sites where posts are being updated every second and you cannot keep up with them without having to scroll back and search, Qwikword has your posts all in one place on your home page and you can see the sparks you have already commented on as well as the sparkflow, a film strip of images and posts yet to do, all in one, easy to read place. Other media sites want you to comment in a certain amount of characters but with your one word response on Qwikword, you can make a more powerful statement instead of a mindless reply.  If you are looking for something different from social media, Qwikword is just the site for you. In the past I have been asked to help beta test other “up and coming” social media sites that were extremely difficult to use, repetitive or just didn’t even make it past the testing phase. In my opinion, Qwikword  is unique, fun and thought-provoking and here to stay! Coming  to the Apple i Store as well as the Google play store on October 1st, 2014 . You can also find Qwikword on Facebook and on Twitter so make sure you stop by and give them a follow. Qwikword is also holding a Facebook giveaway where you could win a $1000 American exprress gift card or even hats, umbrellas and tshirts!
