Make sure you sign up for all the major retailers email subscriptions as well as major brands emails. I get so many coupons and coupon codes just from doing this.
Take advantage of the “new member” credits that alot of sites giveaway. For example ,
one kings lane gives away 10.00 new member credit. i got a set of glass votive holders for free.
totsy gives a new member credit of 10.00. I got my grandson a free sweatshirt
Ice is giving away a 20.00 off any purchase credit so you can score free or dirt cheap jewelry.
These are just a few examples, follow my and others FB pages to find the free deals posted all of the time.
Make sure you send away for the free samples that you see posted. I made up gift baskets for friends gifts with these freebies. you can make a guest basket for visitors or use them when traveling instead of toting along full size, bulky items. I have even made a first aid kit out of free samples that can be kept in the house, car or even purse or diaper bag.
Sign up for the sites that you earn points and credits on and use them for FREE cash and gift cards and merchandise.

I have cashed in 15.00 in amazon gift cards which bought a free Christmas gift and several items i purchased from the swag store including pink ribbon items.
Jingit: get paid to watch short product commercials. you can use the cash on a jingit debit card or use it to download free music. I chose the music (15.00 worth so far) for my mp3 player.
Nomorerack: is a daily deal site that saves you big time on gifts . get friends to join under you and get free items as a friends bonus with free shipping. I ave a set of 3 bangle bracelets on the way for free!!

Kohls savings trip
Back in November, I received 20.00 Kohls cash for a gift i purchased. I went to kohls yesterday to redeem it.
I got two 2 packs of the aloe infused socks ( normally 12.00 per set) = 24.00
on sale for 25% off made them 9.00 per set
A pair of yoga pants (normally 26.00) on clearance for 6.00
A pair of underwear (normally 5.50) on clearance for .80
also used a 15% off coupon from my email
total out of pocket with tax 5.04 savings 50.46 / 90%
Happy New Year
I started my blog this year and it has gone so well. Thank you to all of you that ave visited my blog or became a member. I have some great give aways planned for the new year that include soy candles, product samples grab bags, clothing and so much more.

The New year is a time to start fresh and if you are new to couponing and freebies, its a great time to start. Im not a big believer in resolutions as most of them fall by the wayside by March, but I think all of us need to make a savalution wit ourselves and try to be the most frugal shoppers we can. We work hard for our money and need to spend it wisely.

southern peanut butter cookies recipe
Here is the recipe for my favorite Christmas cookies. My grandmother made these every year and when I taste them it takes me back………
Ingredients:
1/4 cup shortening ( crisco or i think real lard works best)
1/4 cup butter
1/2 cup peanut butter ( smooth works best)
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar ( packed)
1 egg
1 and 1/2 cups plain flour
3/4 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
Let butter and lard sit out for a bit to soften
combine all ingredients in a large bowl( glass works best because its sticky)
cover mixture and chill for an hour
roll dough into 1 in balls
place balls on greased cookie sheet
use a fork to mash down the balls flat ( criss cross pattern)
bake at 375 for 10 to 12 minutes make sure not to overcook, these should be soft.
