Make Your own All-Purpose Cleaner With 3 Ingredients

I love making my own products at home and knowing that they are chemical- free and safe for my family and pets. You can make an amazing all-purpose cleaner with just 3 easy ingredients.

What you need

An empty spray bottle

water

lemon juice ( or essential oils of your choosing)

white vinegar

 

That’s it! That’s all you need!

Make sure you label your bottles. I use a Sharpie so it won’t smudge off. I will posting other cleaners you can make at home too! I love having cleaners around that will not be harmful if little ones or pets get into them.

If you are re-using an old spray bottle make sure it is completely clean.  Fill the spray bottle halfway with white vinegar. Then add warm water to fill almost to the top, leaving about an inch or so. Add in some fresh squeezed lemon juice ( or any essential oils of your choosing) for a scent to cover the vinegar smell and you’re done. Place the top on and give it a little shake and you’re ready to clean even the toughest jobs.

I am a huge fan of HGTV and especially Rehab Addict with Nicole Curtis. She uses this mix on the old houses that she restores and it works like a charm. She even uses it on old fireplace brick and it looks amazing when she is done. Now when using it on a tough job like that you are going to wanted to have a brush handy for scrubbing but you won’t have to break your back doing it. You can really pick up some helpful tips watching these shows and if you haven’t seen hers she brings 100-year-old homes back to life ( she is from Detroit which is another reason I love her). She does not remodel them she restores them. She leaves anything original to the home in the home and I love that.
